Well alright! That's the perennial fruit planted.

P.S. Dear nursery: when I ordered three raspberry plants, it was because I wanted three raspberry plants. You know, two raspberry plants and then one more? That was because there was only space in my garden plan for three raspberries at the recommended planting distance.

So why exactly did you send me four? Now I have a raspberry sitting in a pot while i figure out what in Hell to do with it.

Perhaps they have a 30% failure rate, and it's to replace the one that doens't take.

They're only little canes so I'd plant 4 in the space you have for 3...

You're braver than me - I don't think I'd order plants online. When you go to the nursery yourself, you can pick the bushiest, healthiest looking ones. And you don;t get any extras!

After a long drive round a lot of nurseries, I found that none of those near here sold the cultivars I had decided to plant after my careful research. Indeed, none of the local nurseries sold ANY primocane raspberries at all!

That would be a good enough reason, I suppose. How odd, though, not to sell raspberries.
